I am a Franco-Indian visual artist. My artistic journey began in a small village in Normandy, where I grew up in a family of artists, deeply immersed in a creative environment.
In Paris, I studied drawing and painting, refining my eye and technique over seven years of life drawing at the Beaux-Arts, the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, and Atelier Artmedium. I later continued my artistic exploration in London, at the Battersea Art Center, where I deepened my knowledge of painting.
My dual Franco-Indian identity enriches my work with a unique cultural depth, nourished by the artistic traditions of both countries. My influences weave a dialogue between the Flemish Primitives, Ingres, Gauguin, Le Douanier Rousseau, and the Mughal miniatures, Company paintings, as well as the legacy of Amrita Sher-Gil.
I mainly work with oil paint but also explore acrylic, collage, and textile printing. Experimenting with different supports, notably silk and wood, allows me to express an artistic vision at the crossroads of the sensory and the symbolic.
As a woman artist, I am committed to representing women through a feminine gaze. I explore the complexity of female identity to invite reflection on their diverse experiences.
Alongside my artistic practice, I am also a lawyer specializing in the prevention and redressal of sexual harassment at work under the Indian POSH law. Certified to conduct training sessions and establish internal committees within companies and associations, I express my commitment to women’s rights through two languages: Art and Law.
My works have been presented in solo and group exhibitions in India and France, and are part of private collections in Europe, the United States, and India.
